The moment I knew I had to write this book


Hi friend,

There’s a moment in every big leap where something shifts inside you.

For me, that moment came during one of the hardest seasons of my life—a season where I was suddenly reminded that time is precious, purpose matters, and unfinished work has a way of tapping you on the shoulder.

That’s when one sentence came to me, clear as day:

“It all happens in the meeting room.”

After 31 years in the energy industry — leading, stumbling, learning, and leading again — I looked back and realized something simple but true:

Every breakthrough, every conflict, every turning point in my career happened inside a meeting room. And no one ever taught me how to orchestrate those moments.

That’s why I knew I had to write The Meeting Room. Not because the world needed another leadership book, but because so many people step into leadership without being equipped to lead the rooms where leadership actually happens.

This book became the resource I wish I’d had decades ago—the one that would have saved me from a handful of messy meetings, sleepless nights, and “I wish I had handled that differently” moments.
